We provide professional help and support to people affected by any neuro condition

Story

I am running the Great South Run in Portsmouth on Sunday 15 October 2023 to raise funds for the Brain & Spine Foundation. The Great South Run is a coastal fast and flat 10-mile route.

The Brain & Spine Foundation is the only UK-wide charity providing professional support and expert information for all 600+ neurological conditions. The charity improves the quality of life, treatment and care for one in six affected in the UK.

I am a newly qualified Solicitor in the Serious Injury team working in Irwin Mitchell's Southampton office. Irwin Mitchell forms part of the Brain & Spine Foundation's offering of professional support, with the charity having recently announced Irwin Mitchell as their legal partner. Irwin Mitchell offer support for the charity's service users who have suffered a brain or spinal injury through no fault of their own. Years of experience working with such clients allows Irwin Mitchell to provide the specialist advice that can be so desperately needed.

I aim to run through chronic shin splints and recent knee injuries to finish the race. The honest truth is that I am so lucky to be able to run at all, which is a luxury often taken for granted. It is a luxury that many of our clients simply do not have anymore.

I am grateful for whatever funds you are able to give towards this great cause.
