Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page. As many of you know, I will be running the London Marathon in April 2024 for Brain Research UK.

I studied Neuroscience at The University of Nottingham. I remember being read the following quote in an early lecture “Sitting on your shoulders is the most complex thing in the Universe”. Despite great technological advances, majority of the brain remains largely undiscovered.

On a personal level, in 2022, my boyfriends Mum sadly passed away from an inoperable brain tumor. I was able to witness the impacts this has on the close family as well as her as a person. I believe it is incredibly important that we continue to fund research that is seeking cures for these devastating conditions.

These are just a couple of reasons why I have decided to run for Brain Research UK. They are the UK’s leading funder of neurological research, funding the best science to achieve the greatest impact for people affected by neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury and degenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and intermittent conditions such as epilepsy and headache disorders.

I am sure everyone reading this bio, will know of someone who has been affected by one of the listed disorders, and can appreciate the importance of donating to such a worthy cause. I know how important the research these charities fund is, and the impacts it can make on future generations.
