Story
In May this year I am running a half marathon on the Great Wall of China! I have never been a runner before so this is a major thing for me to undertake!
I am running this half marathon to raise money for a charity, Matthew’s Hub, run by my lovely aunty Gill.
Matthew’s hub is a support service for 13 year old plus people living in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire who have autism or ADHD.
Matthews Hub provide essential advice and support surrounding all aspects of life for hundreds of people living with this condition, or awaiting assessment.
Specifically, the charity runs arts and crafts sessions for its members, which helps them to communicate feelings and world views, as well as making friends and having fun!
Matthew Hub have previously bought 3D printers which members use extensively to make Lego like components, displays, and other custom scifi and comic themed figures. The products (filaments) needed to make 3D printers work are expensive, which means this important tool is not always available to members. They would be delighted to have support with the high cost of these consumables.
