Lucy's FMRS SEN Fundraiser

Saucony London 10K 2024 · 14 July 2024 ·
Special Educational Needs underfunded nationally, in smaller schools it's usually even more difficult to cover the costs of all the things they want to be able to do and buy to support the education and development of SEN children.
My eldest child has additional needs and has been a pupil at Mead Road Infant School (which is a mainstream school) since Sept 2021. His development since he joined has blown my mind. And whilst I absolutely give him credit for this, I do not underestimate the role that the team at Mead Road has played. If anyone had told me when he first started reception that by now he would be able to independently solve maths problems, write, read, hold a conversation, and have more positive than negative interactions with his peers I'm not sure I would have believed we would have achieved all of these things.
The Mead Road team is small but mighty and they have been brilliant at working with us to help our child reach his full potential.
In July I am running the ASICS 10K aiming to get a PB of under 65mins. I am doing this to try and give back by raising funds to support Mead Road to continue the amazing work they do to help SEN children reach their full potential. Please help me support their work if you can!
