Rowan and I are walking 2.5 full marathons in one go, through day and night, around the Isle of Wight. We're doing this 106 kilometres/ 66 miles challenge to raise money in memory of a brilliant human being with a beautiful soul, incredible lust for life and endless positivity.

In 2019, 'Banksie' was living the dream with his amazing family in Costa Rica, having sold up in the UK, moved aboard to pursue his dreams and build an incredible boutique hotel. But in 2022, he was taken from this world far too young and far too soon because of a rare cancer.

So, Rowan and I have decided to take on this leg-busting, blister-building, tear-producing, sleep-depriving epic Ultra Hike in his memory and in support of every other family facing heartbreak and loss. And so that we can eat cake - lots and lots of cake!

We have funded the hike ourselves but if you would like to support us, we are raising money for Martlets Hospice. They are an amazing local charity who provide essential care to people affected by terminal illness. They helped support Banksie and his family with his wish to die at home surrounded by his loved ones.
