Story
In seeing how others live, I continually understand just how fortunate I am to be living in the UK and leading such a comfortable life. Later this year, I will be going on a trip with my school to Zambia to collaborate with a charity called Beyond Ourselves, which aims to help teach primary school students literacy skills. Illiteracy is a problem which has been ongoing in Zambia and by collaborating with this charity I aim to go some way towards helping this problem. With this in mind, I aim to fundraise money for this charity by cycling from London to Brighton on the 16th of June.
Any donation helps and will directly impact a child's education and later life.
I completed the bike ride to Brighton on the 16th after a lot of struggle, particularly around Ditchling Beacon. The route was 57 miles and took around 7 hours. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to help the charity and Zambian educational system. I had a great experience doing this and am very proud of what I accomplished.
