Lou's Journey:
Running in Memory of Joanne
Lou is embarking on an incredible journey as she prepares to run her first marathon, participating in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon this May. Inspired by the memory of her sister in law Joanne, Lou's dedication to this cause shines through as she aims to raise both awareness and funds for the chemotherapy ward at Leeds St. James Hospital.
Joanne herself was a keen runner, she loved to go out running with her friends form the EARLY BIRD RUN CREW in HARROGATE.
Joanne's strength and courage throughout her battle have left a lasting impression on Lou, motivating her to take on this challenge, Joanne spent over 14 weeks in hospital, with other days spent receiving treatment on the day ward. The funds raised will directly support the ward, providing essential resources and care for patients undergoing treatment.
Lou's heartfelt mission is to keep Joanne's legacy alive, while making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. Her commitment and passion exemplify the true spirit of giving back and honouring loved ones.
