Story
Hi friends,
Many of you will know that I am an Associate Vicar at Rotherham Minster. (in my spare time!) We badly need to repair and reconfigure the Minster so it is able to be used by more community groups and for the work we do in the Community ourselves. Many people don’t know that churches don’t get any central funding but are financed entirely through the donations and kindness of those who visit them So…
Despite my fear of heights, on the 7th of June I am getting out of my comfort zone and taking part in an abseil to raise money for the much needed redevelopment of Rotherham Minster.
Can you help?
I am going to be descending a long way(!!) from the bell tower right into the very heart of the Minster. It is certainly a view of the building that very few people will have seen before!!
The Minster is a really important part of Rotherham and does great work to support thousands of people each year through many initiatives, including its food bank.
I really hope you will be able to support me as I take this leap of faith!!
Please can you also share this event with family, friends and work colleagues so that we can get as much support for the Minster as possible.
Thanks so much.
Louise
