This May, I’m walking 90 miles for Made By Dyslexia.

That’s 3 miles a day, every day, for 30 days.

Because for people like me, living with dyslexia isn’t something you deal with once get over and come out the other side—it’s every single day.

Dyslexia is not just a reading issue. It’s the fear of being asked to read out loud. It’s sitting in class, terrified you’ll be picked on to answer a question. It’s being in a meeting, missing a key point, and feeling too embarrassed to ask for it to be repeated.

It’s forgetting people’s names and your manager laughing because they don’t get why the name of that customer or staff member won't stay in your head!

It’s constant. It’s exhausting. But it’s also shaped who I am.

I’ve learned to cope. I’ve made strategies. I’ve found ways that work for me. And I’ve come out stronger—because of it, not in spite of it.

So, I’m walking these 90 miles for the children still struggling to fit into a system that doesn’t fit them. For the teenagers hiding behind coping strategies. For the adults who still feel the weight of being “different.”

I see you. I am you.

This walk is for us.

Because dyslexia doesn’t go away—but with the right support, we learn how to thrive with it.
