Story
We are a group of tudor enthusiasts who want to walk an old pilgrim trail and raise money for good causes.
We are raising money for charity by walking the 20 miles from Kentwell Hall in Suffolk to Bury St Edmunds cathedral along the old pilgrimage route. We are a group of 7 Tudor enthusiasts who reenact at Kentwell hall and are doing this in full Tudor costume and as authentically as possible (although we are using modern boots as Tudor ones wouldn't stand up to the trudging (and pounding)!). We are also staying at authentic hostelries along the way.
Of an evening we will also be story telling as the ancient pilgrims would have done. We will end our trip with a blessing of our St Edmunds pilgrim badges at the cathedral
Please do support us on our journey and sponsor us for our various great causes.
My personal cause is the Teenage Cancer Trust and I am walking in aid of some wonderful young people and familes who have been affected by this awful disease.
When young people aged between 13-24 are diagnosed they will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person faces cancer alone. Nurses and youth workers walk with young people from diagnosis through every step of their treatment, and for up to two years afterwards, so that they can recover and live life to the full.
