Story
Aaron and myself are running this 5k inflatable fun run to raise funds and awareness of this amazing charity that has stood by our sides as we faced our final months as a family of 6 before our gorgeous Alfie Jack was taken from us by his brain tumour .
Alfie was known and loved by everyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path. With his huge smile , beautiful eyes and cracking sense of humour ; he was sure to put a smile on your face .
We miss him so much , he has left the biggest hole in our lives but we will continue to do what Alf did best and that’s living life to the full and never giving up .
Alfie was originally diagnosed in November 2020 and relapsed last year which is when we learned his cancer was incurable 💔
We are eternally grateful for Oscar’s charity for standing by our sides throughout and continuing to do so.
Please donate what you can , it will be gratefully received 😄
OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity are running, sliding and bouncing over 5k of massive inflatables to raise money to support children with brain tumours and their families, raise awareness of signs and symptoms of this terrible disease, and fund research into better and kinder treatments.
We will be running ten years after Oscar Hughes died of a brain tumour aged just 9. His charity has helped so many other children in the same situation and the team taking on the run are doing so to help even more.
A number of runners are part of 'Team Alf' running in memory of ten-year-old North Yorkshire boy, Alfie Hutchinson, who died of a brain tumour in March of this year. OSCAR's are very grateful to all the runners for their support and will continue to work with Alfie's family and school for as long as they need us.
