Make Change Count is the city’s combined fundraising campaign that provides much needed funds to local charities who support and prevent homelessness.

Story

You may not know that my first job was in the provision of Social housing. In the 80,s there was virtually no street homelessness in Brighton but this has changed year on year with a paucity of housing. In Brighton it’s hard to walk down the street without seeing someone who’s homeless. In 2017 Brighton had the 2nd largest homeless population in England. 80% of homeless people report a mental health issue, this combined with physical ill-health creates a desolate situation.

This charity spreads your donation over several charities in Brighton and Hove, all helping those who are homeless or insecurely housed.
