Why walk?

Having worked as a parenting coach supporting parents and families for nearly 10 years, I know how important it is for children to feel seen and valued.

As a parenting coach, I regularly walk with parents through my Walk and Talk program and find walking therapeutic and deeply grounding. This is an opportunity for us all to walk together - while supporting a worthwhile cause.

For some families, this Christmas will be difficult, but we can help make sure that every child and adolescent who spends the festive period as inpatient in a mental health (CAMHS) ward - will get to feel the magic of Christmas

Since 2016 Christmas for CAMHS have provided special Christmas gifts and goodies for children and young people who are inpatients in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) wards across the UK over the festive period.

These young people will be experiencing one of the most challenging times in their lives, and they absolutely deserve to feel special, remembered and included during the holiday season. With your help, we're hoping to give a gift to every single young person who needs a gift who is in inpatient mental health care at Christmas - as well as a special gift, activities, homemade cards, sensory toys and decorations for every ward too.
