Story
In July 2021 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cervical Cancer and was immediately put under the wonderful care of The Royal Marsden hospitals.
Last Summer I braved an abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth and the year before I completed a 15000ft skydive and so far have raised over £15,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
This year I am still a patient of The Royal Marsden and I am still scared of heights (!) but want to continue raising money for the incredible work that the Royal Marsden do and so I am undertaking a Wild Welsh Weekend Challenge!
The first part of my challenge is facing my fear of heights ….again (!) and I will be going on the fastest zip wire in the world at Zip World Velocity in North Wales, where you can travel up to 100mph!
The second part of my challenge is keeping my feet firmly on the ground (!) but it will be test of endurance as it’s a tough challenge. I will be taking part in The Royal Marsden Mount Snowdon Night Trek, where we will be trekking for 8 hours continuously and covering 21km of undulating terrain. We will set off at midnight and when we reach the summit, hopefully we will get to watch the sunrise over the spectacular landscape.
A sense of achievement will be in that every step I take and every pound I raise will help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
1 in 2 people, in the UK, will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime….
Please help me raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to continue their amazing work that they do.
Thank you for your continued support - it means the world to me ❤️
