Story
Many of you will remember how saddened I was in 2020 when Els, the daughter of close friends, died far too young of a brain tumour. Such a difficult time through her diagnosis and treatment, with the knowledge that the outcome was pretty much inevitable, although Els herself remained positive and optimistic, living life to the full and enjoying champagne in The Shard after hospital visits and even making it to Japan for the Rugby World Cup. Unfortunately optimism doesn’t change survival rates - but research can. That’s why I am joining Els’ family on the Twilight Walk. My personal challenge will be to walk slowly enough so the little legs with us can keep up!
