Story
My son, Jace was born with Diplegic Cerebral Palsy. I was told he would never walk or talk unaided. But here we are, proving the drs wrong!
He had a double hip reconstruction in June last year, and has worked incredibly hard since to gain strength again.
His strength and determination is just incredibly inspiring 💚
Back in 2019 Jace went through a major operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy , which involved cutting nerves in his lower spine to reduce the spasticity in his body.
This operation meant after a lot of physio, Jace was able to walk unaided.
Back in January 2023, Jace stopped walking - his left leg came out of his hip bond by 70%.
In June 2023 he had a double hip reconstruction and has been on the road to recovery since.
Jace will walk again, but we need the private physiotherapy to keep going to allow this.
I’m taking part in Mud Girl Run this year, in July. A 5k run through mud, over obstacle courses and well - anything else thrown out way 🙈
Not sure if I’m crazy or not, but I’m doing it to fundraise for my son’s private physiotherapy.
The NHS just do not provide enough - I have constant battles just to get blocks of physio. This physio is VITAL as it means my son will stand and walk again.
Without this physio, he will not gain strength, he will not get stronger.
This is why I fundraise for his private physiotherapy.
He has an outstanding private physio who sees him weekly and is a massive support to Jace.
As you can imagine, it’s not cheap - and this is why I fundraise. It ensures my son will get the best out of life, his independence, his ability to move and walk.
I’m hoping to fundraise £2000 which will give my son around 4/5 months worth of private physiotherapy. If I can raise more then that would be phenomenal.
100% of all donations goes into my son’s charity pot held with the registered charity Just4Children. And ALL the money goes towards Jace’s physiotherapy.
I show photos and videos of my son, so you can see exactly how important and the life changing these sessions are for Jace.
If you can donate- please do so on this page, and if you can’t, please share my message to spread the message which will help us in other ways 🥰
As always - thank you for your support ❤️
