Story
I'm daring to race the setting sun and help light the way to a safer world for women.
I've joined the Race the Dark challenge to make every step count for women's safety.
My challenge will be to walk the River Thames, from Battersea Bridge to North Greenwich and back again, passing sites such as Westminster and the City of London along my Marathon distance walk. It is 42KM and I will start at dawn, aiming to complete before the sun sets.
I'm taking on this challenge:
- For Women’s Safety: Women face unique challenges when it comes to their safety.
- For Allyship: Race the Dark isn’t just about completing a challenge—it’s about reflecting on how we can all be better allies, encouraging conversations around respect, understanding, and standing up against harassment.
- For Awareness Raising: Directly contributing to White Ribbon UK’s work, advocating for safer environments, enabling people and especially men to learn about allyship, and creating resources for use in schools, workplaces and other settings.
