Story
The most unthinkable tragedy happened on the night of October the 2nd 2023, Louie James Ellis (8 years old) and Mason Joshua Ellis (6 years old) tragically lost their lives in a serious RTA.
Louie passed away at the scene of the accident. Mason and his little brother Bobby (4 years old) were air lifted by the Air Ambulance to Sheffield children’s hospital. Unfortunately Mason sadly passed away just hours later but thankfully Bobby survived and was getting treated for a fractured wrist and head trauma due to the accident.
All the first responders, paramedics, the fire services and in fact many more people and services were absolutely amazing with all 3 boys and the boys family couldn’t be more thankful to those who were at the scene of the accident and also the staff at the Sheffield Childrens hospital.
Without the Air Ambulance, the treatment provided for Mason and Bobby would have not been possible. So we are trying to raise money for the charity funded TAAS [ The Air Ambulance Service ] as this is a vital service that saves lives and they are a non government funded service.
As a big thank you to them, we have decided to arrange a football charity match that will be held on the 21st of July 2024 at Legbourne Community centre 1-4pm. Kick off being 2pm.
The two teams will be represented by Louie and Masons Dad Laurie Ellis and also their Uncle Joshua Ellis.
Team Louie will be represented by Laurie (Dad) and Manby Football club.
Team Mason will be represented by Joshua and a mix of his close friends and Lauries close friends.
We hope to see as many people as possible come down and support the 2 sides as well as helping to raise funds that will be donated to the Air Ambulance service.
The Wood Shed will be there offering food on the day.
Luda Brewing Company will be there with a pop up tent for drinks.
About LN donating their equipment for some sound on the day.
The Blind Tiger and Blaze Competitions both sponsoring a team each.
Thank you, we hope to see as many people as possible on the 21st of July.
