Story
As many of you will know, my dream is to work with wild animals 🐘🐊🦒🦍 once I have (finalllyyyyy!) graduated and help conserve the natural world. I am therefore taking part in the 50km Chiltern UltraMarch Challenge 🏃🏼♀️🏕️ and raising money for Wildlife Vets International!
This challenge is a strictly ⚠️ walk-only pace through the Chiltern Hills and to qualify, you MUST finish the 50km distance in under 12 hours.

Helping to prevent species becoming extinct is extremely complex with no quick fix. As natural barriers between wildlife, livestock and people continue to be eroded, the risks from emerging infectious disease 🦠 also increase. This is especially true for endangered species 🦏, where low numbers and fragmented populations mean disease outbreaks can be particularly deadly. WVI train local vets 🩺 and biologists 👨🔬 so that they can identify, monitor and mitigate disease threats, treat sick or injured animals, & safely reintroduce species 🦜 to the wild. The challenges for those who work in conservation are immense however we can all play a role in conserving our beautiful planet 🌎.
