Help Me #StepUpforMiscarriage this January
I think most of my friends and family will know I sadly miscarried many babies, but 6 years ago in January I lost my 'latest' pregnancy - baby Laura. I found it incredibly difficult and even all these years on, I feel her loss acutely.
At the time, there was very limited support from any professional but I hope by raising awareness of this amazing charity, other parents and families won't feel so alone. They will be able to use M.A's resources and in turn I will be changing something that genuinely was horrendous in my life, to hopefully something more positive.
January is one of the worst months for me, the month in which I learnt Laura had died. So it feels perfect to do these steps in memory of her and also know that I will be helping my mental health doing it - getting out there, every step for my brightest shining star.
This January, I’m taking on the Miscarriage Association’s #StepUpforMiscarriage challenge by pledging to walk 250,000 steps – one step for each of the 250,000 pregnancies estimated to end in miscarriage, molar, or ectopic pregnancy in the UK every year.
I would really appreciate any amount of money you can give. Every donation helps the Miscarriage Association support people through the hardest of times, providing comfort, guidance, and a knowledge for those affected by pregnancy loss.
Thank you for helping me and I will keep you updated!
