Story
On March 17th, 2024, I'll be running the LA Marathon, to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK and in honor of my inspirational and unstoppable mother.
Read the full story behind my run here.
We all could use a little money right now, I'm sure. Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are doodling rockets around in distant starfields, while the rest of us are just hoping the car will still start in the morning. I have no doubt there are other things you could do with that spare ten, fifty, hundred dollars. (Or pounds, or euros.)
But if you agree that health is the true measure of what we have in this world, not money, then supporting others in their struggles (back) toward health is arguably the greatest, because truest, form of gifting there is.
I invite you, then, to support me in raising funds for Bowel Cancer UK, who are, in their own words, "determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease." Anything at all you can give is truly appreciated - and truly pivotal to patients.
Note that this is not all-or-nothing sponsorship. If I fall in a pothole at mile 7, or catch "diva-itus" while passing through Hollywood and refuse to come out of my trailer thereafter, all the money raised still goes to Bowel Cancer UK. So crack open that wallet, even if you regard either of those outcomes as pretty likely. Only good can come of donating.
Thank you,
Zoe Marie Bullingham (also known by pen names Zoe Marie Bel and Lexia Snowe) and her mother, Maggie
