Story
My name is AYED WAKKAA, I live in Los Angeles, the city I loved with all its details. I used to live a simple life but full of dreams, in a small house that was my only refuge, filled with my memories and belongings that I had collected over the years.
But everything changed in an instant. One night, a sudden fire broke out in my neighborhood. I didn’t know what happened, but the flames engulfed everything with incredible speed. The darkness was filled with smoke, and the air was saturated with the smell of burning.
I tried to save what I could, but the flames were faster than me. I ran out of the house carrying only the clothes I was wearing. I stood in the street watching my house turn to ashes, and with it everything I owned was gone – family photos, memories, and everything I depended on in my daily life.
Today, I stand homeless, penniless, and with no idea how I can start over. I write these words grateful that I at least got out of the fire unscathed, but life is no longer the same.
I am asking for your support, no matter how small. Your help could be the light I need in this darkness. Together, we can turn this tragedy into a new beginning. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
