Story
Having previously completed treks in China and Peru my next adventure for the British Heart Foundation is this October in Cambodia.
This time I'll be trekking around 15 to 20 km a day for 5 days, in hot and humid conditions through paddy fields, forest and jungle. I'll be camping every night of the trek and have the luxury of 'bucket showers' to look forward to! My final destination is the stunning temple complex of Angkor Wat where I'll be rewarded with the opportunity to explore (and to spend the night in a normal bed!!)
It's a sobering thought that I'm now the same age as my Dad was when he passed away from heart disease but I can think of no greater inspiration to push myself and support the BHF to create new treatments and discover new cures.
It would be fantastic if you'd support me by sponsoring my trek. I'm paying all the costs of my trip myself so all the money raised will be going to the BHF to continue their life-saving research.
