Story
Running has always been more than a physical challenge—it’s a journey of resilience, growth, and purpose. Over the past four years, I’ve faced intense personal and professional transitions, including international moves, demanding work, and grueling endurance events. These experiences have taught me that the most fulfilling challenges are those that push my limits and contribute to something greater.
This is why I’m honored to run the 2025 London Marathon to raise funds for spinal cord injury research with Team Spinal.
In my work in neuromodulation, I see firsthand the challenges faced by individuals with spinal cord injuries and the critical need to support research and innovation to enhance outcomes and quality of life.
Much more needs to be done to raise awareness and support, especially in Europe. Running for Team Spinal combines my love for endurance sports with my commitment to making a difference. Every step in the marathon will be a step toward advancing care and offering hope.
I hope my journey inspires others to support this vital cause—through donations, spreading awareness, or simply believing in resilience and community. Together, we can create a future where spinal cord injuries no longer define lives but highlight human strength and innovation.
With gratitude,
Lorenzo
