Story
My wonderful mother in law Barabara died last year of cancer and I always said that I would like to raise money for the fantastic charities that supported her in her end of life care. St Barnabas were brilliant, caring, understanding and always there for all of us.
This Challenge came about very randomly, I was checking traffic for my journey from Lucy's home in Basingstoke to my home in Colsterworth. I accidently had it on walking mode and we joked about how we should do it one day for charity. Conversation escalated to us discussing doing it for charity and then...
We shook on the challenge that day and now here we are, having calculated the journey we decided...
For our chosen charities we are going to walk the 141 miles between our homes in 5 days from Basingstoke to Colsterworth. That is over a marathon a day!

St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity who supports more than 10,500 people across Lincolnshire with a life-limiting or terminal illness each year. They deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers. They aim to enable them to live as fully as they are able for however many days, weeks or months they have left.
They are reliant on the financial support the community provides, to be there for more patients, their families and carers, every day of the year.
