Samra's fundraiser for Medical Aid for Palestinians

London to Paris · 28 May 2024
I was supposed to participate in The Rapha Pennine Rally, Edinburgh to Manchester ride from 28th May to 1st June. I canceled my participation because I could not sort a gravel bike to train on and riding on the rally proved difficult. This was not an easy decision to make but the right one. So as I had been training for this ride past few months, I thought to keep the momentum of the spirit of the ride and challenge myself to ride to Paris for urgent cause.
MAP's vision is a future where all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable and locally-led system of healthcare, and the full realisation of their rights to health and dignity.
Through their programmes in the West Bank, Gaza, East Jerusalem, and Lebanon, they work with trusted and experienced local partners to achieve this vision. Their programmes, designed and delivered by Palestinians, provide access to essential health services and build local knowledge and skills to address Palestinian health problems. In times of humanitarian emergency, they are ready to respond rapidly with aid and assistance.
MAP is also committed to bearing witness to the injustices caused by occupation, displacement and conflict. They speak out in the UK and internationally, and ensure Palestinian voices are heard at the highest levels, to press for the political and social barriers to Palestinian health and dignity to be addressed
