Story
Hi everyone,
We’re Loddan and Dina, and we’ve got some big news (and a bit of a challenge) to share—we’re running the London Marathon 2025! We’re taking on this 42km journey to raise £4,000 for JRS UK, an amazing charity that supports refugees here in the UK.
Honestly, this is a huge step out of our comfort zone. Neither of us has much running experience, so the thought of completing a marathon feels pretty intimidating—but also exciting. What’s driving us is knowing that every single step will help make a difference for a cause so close to our hearts.
As a refugee myself, I understand how tough it can be to start over in a new place. That’s why the work JRS UK does - providing essentials like food, accommodation, and advice, and standing with refugees navigating such a difficult system - is something we both care about deeply. - Dina
Through my work with JRS, I’ve been lucky enough to meet some incredible refugee friends whose strength and resilience inspire me every day. Running this marathon is our way of giving back and shining a light on their stories, their struggles, and their hope. - Loddan
