Story

We are the Plastribution team, and four of our team members Martin White, Ryan Evans, Simon Thompson and Tom Burgess are taking on the challenge of the 2023 Loch Ness Marathon to raise money for the AMMF charity in honour of our dear colleague Claire Ray. Claire has recently been diagnosed with liver and bile duct cancer, and we want to do everything we can to support her and raise awareness of this disease along the way.

In addition, several members of our team will be taking part in the 5-a-side football tournament - "Business Fives" to raise additional funds for the cause.

Claire has worked at Plastribution for over 30 years and is a deeply loved colleague who is always a “Ray” of sunshine in our lives and works hard to look after everyone within our business. It is now our turn to look after her. Typically for Claire she has nominated an extremely worthy cause in the charity AMFF.

The AMMF charity is dedicated to improving the survival rates of those affected by cholangiocarcinoma, a rare form of liver cancer. By supporting this incredible cause, we hope to make a real difference to the lives of those impacted by this devastating illness.

Three of our team have never even run a marathon before which makes it additionally challenging but they are determined to push themselves to the limit and achieve our fundraising goal. We are asking for your support in helping us reach our target, no matter how big or small the donation. Every penny counts, and we are grateful for any support you can give us in this challenge.
