On August 30th I will be cycling from Scotland to manchester over 3 days averaging 80 miles per day in honour of my dad who sadly passed suddenly at the age of 54 to a illness we didn’t no nothing about. I’m doing this challenge to tell my story and to make as much awareness as I can ,so hopefully it will help a family not have to go through what we did. My dad got diagnosed then 4 weeks after he sadly passed , he had a condition called pulmonary fibrosis ,which is lung condition ,it’s not curable but it’s manageable there are all different stages you can get tablets to help your lungs , so u can live longer but unfortunately it was to late for my dad , if we new we might of had a chance, this year one of my siblings has also been diagnosed therefore this is another reason I will be doing this challenge to raise awareness and money ,there isn’t to say there is a cure out there we just need more funds for re search and I will be working along side pulmonary fibrosis to help get as much I can out there every penny will be go to pulmonary fibrosis , and I hope I can make a difference and get this out there to help family’s who are going through what we went through.
