I'm proud to be joining Team Sarcoma in the London Marathon

Thank you for visiting my page.
I've chosen to run the 2025 London Marathon on 27 April 2025 for Sarcoma UK, a charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
I’m running in memory and honour of my boyfriend Sean, who heartbreakingly died from epithelioid sarcoma on 10 August 2022.
Epithelioid sarcoma is a very rare sarcoma that can occur anywhere throughout the body. It most often occurs in the hands, arms, feet and legs. Epithelioid sarcoma makes up just under 0.5% of all soft tissue sarcomas, and about 0.01% of all cancers.
Epithelioid sarcoma is incredibly difficult to treat. Sean (with the help of his amazing Mum) sought out any possible treatment option, participating in a number of clinical trials and even securing compassionate access to immunotherapy drugs that are not yet licensed for sarcoma in the UK. That research from Sean’s various treatments will be used to continue the search for further options for Sarcoma patients.
I signed up for the marathon on what would have been Sean’s 30th birthday. I am hugely motivated to raise as much money as possible for Sarcoma UK to ensure that other people in similar circumstances have access to more treatment options and to hopefully one day avoid anyone else suffering through the pain that Sean was forced to bear.
Sean was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, he was my best friend and I miss watching him light up any room that he walked into every single day. I will be thinking of him through every step of the training and as I hopefully cross the finish line in April.
Seany thanks for being my inspiration, you are so loved and so so missed - I hope I make you proud!
Thank you to anyone who is able to donate, I cannot put into words how much it means to me.
