Story

I'm doing my 13 for 13 at school on Friday 15th Sept 2023 in memory of Daniel who's spirit and bravery inspired me, gave me strength and helped get me through the tough times. #resteasydaniel #liv4daniel13for13

I'm taking part in the inaugural Liv for Daniel event this September to raise awareness of childhood cancer, specifically the massive underfunding of research into DIPG brain tumours and Childhood Leukaemia.

Only 2% of all cancer research funding in the UK is spent on research fully dedicated towards childhood cancer research. This is wholly unacceptable and must change!

WHY?

- 13 kids will be diagnosed with a form of Childhood Cancer today in the UK, and tomorrow and the next day and the next! Childhood cancer is NOT RARE!

- Around 4,500 children & young adults in the UK are given the devastating news that they have a form of Childhood Cancer.

- Childhood cancers are very different to cancers that occur in adults, hence the need for dedicated research.

Please give generously and remember that 100% of donations will go towards finding a cure for these terrible diseases - thank you!

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
