Eddie is hoping to raise some money for Julian house over the summer as it’s a charity he really wants to support.

He has noticed the struggle for those living on the street or in temporary housing, and he feels like he could help by doing a sponsored litter pick over the summer holidays to help tidy up the local area at the same time.

He’ll also do it when we are away camping so as to fulfill another challenge he’s set for himself, to do the couch to 5k walking.

Eddie has had two major knee reconstruction operations, one in August 2021 and one recently in November 2022. He is rebuilding the strength in his legs and wishes to return to walking the school run from September, Which is a mile each way.

So this mission has 3 layers, a collection for Julian house, community litter picking and fulfilling an ambition of being able to walk 5k again.

There are so many charities that need support it was hard to choose, but having needed housing support in the past too, means he has a very personal reason to choose Julian house.

Being homeless could literally happen to any of us.
