Story
It’s been a tough few years for charities with the impact of Covid and now the cost of living crisis which is why I’ve decided that during May, which is Ehlers-Danlos awareness month to set myself…well along with my furry side kicks Tyler & Maya the challenge of rolling 250 miles for The Ehlers-Danlos society.
As somebody who has faced a diagnostic odyssey from childhood which took well over a decade to be diagnosed nearer two decades, who lives with this life changing condition which is forever changing and becoming increasingly more challenging to live and cope with on top of fighting for recognition, diagnosis, and care, this is a cause that is extremely important to me.
With out charities like The Ehlers-Danlos Society and connecting with others that have Ehlers-Danlos I would of felt a lot more isolated in times when I didn’t know where to turn for support and knowledge. The Ehlers-Danlos Society do fantastic work for our community providing support through resources and support networks as well as educating medical professionals and funding research in to the complexities of this condition.
