My daughter, Ellie, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 12. This has been a life-changing diagnosis for Ellie and a 24/7 job to keep her blood sugar in the correct range. Ellie really struggled at first, but even in the 2 years that she’s lived with this, we’ve seen advances in technology that have helped improve her life significantly. I’m running this craft workshop to show my appreciation for the Diabetes UK charity, for their continual research and support for the diabetes community. I also want to show Ellie that I love her and that she’s my hero x
