Story
I’m running / jogging / walking (hopefully not having to resort to crawling!) the 100km Race to the Stones on the 13th/14th July. I’m doing the event over 2 days with an overnight camp on the Ridgeway. I’ve been training over the past 16 weeks, suffering a few injuries on the way.
I’ve supported The Toy Appeal for a few years, and would love to be able to raise some money for them whilst attempting to run 100km from Lewknor to the Avebury Stones.
The Toy Appeal started in 2013 by Chris & Dee Drake when they provided Christmas sacks to 500 children, to date they have provided 55,000 Christmas sacks to disadvantaged children in the UK.
The Toy Appeal is run entirely by volunteers whose mission is to ensure all children have presents to open on Christmas morning, we want to ensure all children experience the magic of Christmas. Each child receives a red sack filled with 8 items suitable to their age.
£25 will provide a toy sack for a child, schools, social workers, refuges and foodbank can request a toy sack for a child.
Together let’s Give a Child a Christmas.
Thank you
Lisa xx
