Hello,

I'm on a mission this February—Miles for Smiles in support of Haven House Children's Hospice. Every day, I'll walk 10,000 steps to raise vital funds for seriously ill children and families.

I am doing this for a fantastic chap called Antony Mooney.

We have known Antony all his life, when we heard the news of Antony’s diagnosis (still can’t bring myself to say the word) we were beyond devastated for him and the rest of his family, our darling friends Julie, Ian and Michael.

Without Haven House’s support, I don’t know what they would have done as I know they were a tremendous help to the entire family.

Not only was it a place for Antony to feel like he wasn’t alone, it was a welcoming place for the rest of the family, with advice and support always at their disposal. It was ann incredible place to feel reassured and safe in.

As Antony became better he wanted to still spend time there to help the other kids, to reassure them, and let them know that they were all in it together.

Haven House is truly incredible, with the most fantastic staff, a very special place indeed.
