Hi all me and Chloe are taking part in this year walk to raise money for the fantastic St Mary's Hospice in memory of my Aunty Vera who sadly passed away recently. With your help, over 1,000 local people living with a terminal diagnosis can be cared for by Birmingham Hospice at any one time. It costs over £16 million a year to fund our services, over 40% of which needs to be covered through fundraised income. That’s why the money you raise is so important; it ensures that our specialist care and support is available for more people and their families, at a time when they need it the most.

You may have seen BBC News recently highlight that a rising cost of living and decrease in donations is affecting hospices across the country. Hospice UK estimates that hospices will face up to £120 million of additional costs this year.
