Story
I need your support
⬇️
In celebrating my first year refuelling aircraft at Gloucestershire Airport. I'm undertaking my first tandem parachute jump on the 21st of September at Netheravon. To raise funds for the Royal Air Force Association.
⬇️
I first started my career in aviation with the Royal Air Force many years ago. My feet have always been firmly on the ground, providing support to those in the skies.
⬇️
The Royal Air Force Association continues to embrace us all, past, present and future. Ensuring that even our families of those that have or are currently serving, have access to help when they need it most.
⬇️
It is a charity that remains very close to my heart. I'm very fortunate not to have endured the hardships of many. Which loss and ill health albeit physically or mentally, are still prevalent today.
⬇️
This tandem jump is totally out of my comfort zone. I'd prefer to ascend than descend 13500ft. I'll be that person reluctantly bottom shuffling along and out of a perfectly working aircraft.
Personally, I'd like to help this charity to continue supporting serving RAF personnel, RAF veterans and their families. They'll benefit from a wide range of services including befriending, mental wellbeing training courses, professional childcare and training for spouses, retirement homes, bespoke casework support, and help to secure emergency grants.
However, coming together I'm hoping we can give something back to this exceptional military service that will make a real difference to so many lives.
🪂
So, I'm asking each one of you who's still reading this to please donate any money you can spare. I'm aiming for a target amount of £1000. To raise above and beyond that would be truly special.
Thank you
