Story
Despite the sleep deprivation, exhaustion, chaffing and because it was lots of fun I am again swimming the 24 hour relay swim at Shepperton Lake to raise money for disabled children to learn to swim.
We arrive around 9am on the Saturday to grab a pitch. We start swimming at 12 midday and taking it in turns swim till 12 midday on the Sunday. We add lights to be seen when it’s pitch black! This year we have a team of four and I’m swimming 6 hours - 3 was hard enough last year. Just to make it harder I had tendon surgery in January and had several weeks out.
Whilst doing this I am raising money so children with disabilities can enjoy the water as much as I do.
Just £15 can change a life. Please support me in this epic challenge by donating.
Level Water use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities.
Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
