Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sam will be doing a sponsored push on Sunday July 28th He’ll challenge himself to complete around a 2 mile course..
Sam has had many surgeries, the most area needing help has been his hips. They have been broken and reconstructed 4 times. We were told 2 years ago that there was nothing more that could be done and that if/when his hips dislocate the next procedure would be to remove the hip joints completely. The NHS do not do hip replacements on most people with Cerebral Palsy due to the success rate being low.
This would mean Sam would never stand or walk again.
He's determined to stay as strong as possible to avoid or at least delay that procedure.
We knew he needed to be up weight bearing and moving daily, which is a challenge when you can not do this independently. This led us to the Innowalk. Please see in galley for photo of Sam on the Innowalk
We were very fortunate to purchase an Innowalk last year after receiving a huge amount of support through fundraising.. This machine helps Sam stand and work his whole body. The physical and mental improvements he has seen have been amazing
We have just purchased a large hydraulic therapy bed so he can continue having weekly physio at home
We are now planning on building a therapy room so we have space for this equipment and for Sam to have space for his weekly physio.
Anything raised from the ‘push’ will go towards the room
Thankyou once again for your great support
