Story
So a 10K run might not seem a big challenge for some especially if your a keen Park Run member or a Marathon runner or even someone who is physically fit (and younger).
But for me, approaching 50 years old, lacking any motivation and has only ever completed one 5K in her lifetime (and most of that time was walking, moaning, resting etc.) - this will be a first for me and one of my biggest challenges yet - but its also the first time I am fundraising for this amazing Charity who help support my daughter diagnosed with Asperger's and develop her social skills/confidence.
At Sycamore Trust U.K. their aim is to offer a range of services specifically designed to support families, educate the community and empower individuals of all ages to flourish and be valued members of society.
Therefore as children with autism face a number of daily challenges so I thought I would give myself my own personal challenge by attempting a 10k run (with mostly hills!) in order to repay them for all their encouragement and understanding.
At Sycamore Trust they support the needs of individuals and families/carers for whom Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or Learning Difficulties are a part of daily life
