I wanted to mark my birthday this year by doing something big for charity so on 18th August (a couple of days before my actual birthday), I am going to leap off the Tyne Bridge and zipline over the river. I have already paid the event fee so this will not come out of any funds raised here. Rape and sexual abuse are devastating crimes but are unfortunately not uncommon. 1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult. 1 in 6 children have been sexually assaulted. 1 in 18 men have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult.
