I have signed up to this towering challenge to fundraise for three inspirational charities - MQ Mental Health Research, National Numeracy and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in support of The Lord Mayor Alderman Nicholas Lyons and his vision of a ‘A Better City for All’. Many of you will know that Spike is Nick’s Beadle.

On Tuesday, 4th July, I will be abseiling 65m (215ft) of the iconic, and one of my favourite, buildings Lloyds of London. I would usually prefer a view from the ground so I trust my head is up for the height!

I cover the registration fee so every pound you kindly donate goes to the appeal.
