Me and my friends are taking part in a charity walk. Cancer has been apart of my life for the last 4 years after loosing my dad to cancer very suddenly , him passing in just 5 weeks after being diagnosed it broke my heart, watching someone you love so much suffer.

And then myself being diagnosed in October 2022 with stage 3b melanoma , I done 12 months immunotherapy to suppress any spread , then in December 2023 the cancer has returned the in my lung, this was the worst news of my life but I’ve remained positive throughout, having a lebectomy in January 2023 to remove the cancer ,

Everything seemed good then in October 2024 cancer has returned a 3rd time back in my lung and also my rib , am currently on immunotherapy again this time a lot stronger dose, most days are good but some days it does have effect on me.

Am a strong person and I know I can fight this I have the best family and friends around me , you wouldn’t believe the battles I fight daily in my head but I remain strong for my little girl because am her world and she’s mine ,

It's time to get your glow on, and mark World Cancer Day 2025! With over £500,000 raised in just three years by over 3,000 incredible supporters, Clatterbridge will take you on another fantastic walk around Liverpool City Centre taking in views of some of the most iconic landmarks including the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, the Radio City Tower and of course Clatterbridge Cancer Centre: Liverpool.

You will be given a warm welcome by our fantastic team who will be cheering you on and keeping you inspired throughout the walk at various points along the 8km route - so don't forget to give our Clatterbridge cheer squads a wave when you see them!

Entertainment and music will also be playing throughout the walk so whether you walk the walk or sashay away you're sure to have an incredible time with us. This event is something you won't want to miss, so gather your friends and family because it's time to light up, and Glow Green! 💚
