Everest in the Alps 2025 · 1 March 2025 to 8 March 2025 ·

The Everest In The Alps 2025 Challenge is raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. Our team will take on the epic challenge to ascend 8,848 metres (the height of Everest) on skis.

Story

The first Everest in the Alps event took place in March 2015. That first team ascended 8,848 metres - the height of the world's highest mountain - on skis, raising an incredible £3m for The Brain Tumour Charity.

Our 2025 event is being led by my good friend John Woodman who himself has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour, has come through surgery and is currently on his course of chemotherapy. John is determined to make this ascent in our team of 12 participants.

The team's goal is two fold. Not only do we want all of the participants to complete the four day challenge of walking up the height of Mount Everest, but far more importantly, we wish to raise a truly meaningful sum of money for The Brain Tumour Charity. This will assist in enabling the continuation of pioneering research and make an invaluable contribution to the medical world's understanding of and path to conquering cancers of this type.

My own objective here reflects that above. I have already started the deeply unpleasant experience of fitness training and skinning up mountains at altitude, ahead of our event in the first week of March. More than that however, I have set a fund raising target of £100,000. The first £10,000 comes from me, and I hope that you will be able to support this goal however you can. Any sum is a good sum. Thanks for your support!
