Story
Linda Bouchard passed away on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at the age of 72. Linda was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After high school, she proudly served in the US Air Force which introduced her to her life-long career in the medical field. She worked as a nurse and health care professional until her retirement. Prior to living in Lumberton she spent over three decades in the St. Louis, Missouri area with her husband, Mike, and their three children, Cian, Candace, and Corinne. She wouldn’t hesitate to share stories about her children to anyone in earshot, and that tradition lived on when she became a grandma and great-grandma. She was an avid crafter, making everything from costumes for her kids’ dance competitions, to hand-crocheted afghans for loved ones. She was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease almost fifteen years ago and underwent multiple treatment paths including deep brain stimulator implantation. She spent many years managing the disorder which required resolve, strength, and a level of stubbornness that only she could bring. Her passing brings her the peace and rest that she had been missing for so long.
Linda is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Michael, son; Cian and his wife Genea, daughters; Candace and her husband Adam, and Corinne , five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, mother; Marie, and sisters; Debbie, Beth, and Robin. We are honored to carry on her legacy in advocating for PD research and care.
