Our family first attended Camp Sunshine in 2003 shortly after our daughter's Leukemia diagnosis. There we found respite, encouragement, support, shed a few tears and even found joy. Families who have a child with a life threatening illness attend camp free of charge! Our love of camp is perhaps best expressed by a quote from Katie:

"at Camp Sunshine you can take a deep breath and fall if you need to and know someone is always there to catch you"

This year I'm celebrating a BIG birthday by running Beach to Beacon on my actual birthday! 6.2 miles, on August 6th to celebrate my big *-0 birthday! Please donate what you can for this amazing organization that means so much to us and to so many families :)

Camp Sunshine has a long history with the Beach to Beacon 10k Road Race. Camp Sunshine was selected as just the second beneficiary of the event back in 1999. Since then a group of runners has actively participated and proudly represented Camp Sunshine annually.
