Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I am Hiking the Salkantay trail to Machu Picchu in the mountains of Peru in March 2025 for Weldmar Hospicecare. This challenge is in aid of Weldmar's 30 year anniversary, my mum was part of the original team when they first opened. This charity is a local one for me that supports more than 2,000 people with life limiting illnesses.

I have always enjoyed going on walks ever since I was a child, I used to walk a lot with my Nan before she passed away due to having cancer,

This will be a difficult challenge for me, taking on high altitudes, high inclines, difficult terrain and temps that will reach to highs of 21degrees and dip to lows of 4 degrees so personally I am going to give it my absolute all!

Throughout the hiking days I will be going the distance of 8KM - 20KM per day over a duration of 6-8hrs each day over 11 days.

Please donate as little of as much as you can!

Thank you for taking the time to read my page and I will appreciate your support.
