Story
I am participating in the Alder Hey Big Jump in April 2025 to pay a little back to the hospital that saved my life.
I was days old and diagnosed with tetralogy of fallots, a congenital heart defect characterised by four issues, impacting my blood flow and heart function.
I was a tiny 2 week old baby undergoing my first heart surgery, before receiving my major heart operation at 18 months.
Both operations were hugely successful leaving me asymptomatic and thriving.
I now want to pay something back, no matter how big or small, to help the staff at Alder Hey receive the credit they deserve, as well as give the children currently there the care they need to help them become strong and resilient to live an amazing life just like me.
