In October of 2022, I was invited to join a medical mission trip with International Needs Canada (INC). As long-term child sponsors with INC, my husband and I were invited to an international meeting in Hamilton where I met the impressive Dr. Neal Stretch who affected me with his compassion for the vulnerable and orphaned children. By the grace of God, I joined Dr. Stretch and the INC team on a medical mission trip to Solwezi, Zambia. It was an amazing opportunity to work alongside local healthcare professionals, serving about 1200 students, some of their parents, and numerous community residents.

Our team agreed to leave a legacy from our life changing experience. The 18 team members committed to one year of monthly donations to ensure that every student had a meal at lunchtime. It would ensure sustainability of the school while they continued to cultivate a “School of Excellence” designation through growing crops and raising livestock.

In October 2024 I will once again be joining the Zambia team to offer medical support to women and children in the Solwezi region. I am so blessed to be part of this amazing endeavour to help in the creation of a medical clinic, working in tandem with the local healthcare professionals.

It would be wonderful to have my friends and family support me as I prepare to embark on this very worthwhile medical mission. My goal is to raise $5500 and any support you can provide would be gratefully received.
